Manual Weighting ( Rig Mode )

This mode allows you to manually paint the bone weights.


The options are: - Radius : The size of the paint brush - Hardness : How quickly the weight values fall off ( 0 < value <= 1.0 ) over the radius - Weight : The weight value for painting - Smooth Iters : How many rounds of weight smoothing are applied when smoothing is run - Weight Smoothing : When checked, instead of painting absolute weights, smoothing is done on weights that fall under the paint brush radius

Finally, the Smooth Weights button will run a full round of weight smoothing for the selected bone. It is recommended you run this to smooth out your painted bone weights and improve the deformation quality of your character models.

To Erase any painted weights, hold down CTRL + CLICK and paint over the weights of the mesh.
