Yes, I understand. However, once assigned a number always stays occupied even if the according item is long removed. Maybe just adding a button that re-assigns the tag numbers to all items according to their order would be the best and safest approach. It's not very urgent, anyway, so take your time

The tag numbers are used as unique ids for animation sprite swapping so the track information itself ( as well as any dependencies ) will need to be accounted for, it's a bit more complicated than you think
So I will push out the other fixes first, the one you requested requires a bit more thought and investigation.
